The first of no doubt many fall colds have delayed things around here. Most of the summer plants have been pulled – with the exception of the still producing lemon cucumbers.
My garden bed of winter veggies including parsnips, radicchio, celery, leeks, salsify, chicory and random-self-seeded kale (kale has planted itself all over the garden).
Winter cress ready to harvest. This is the first year I’ve tried winter cress, I’ve been told that it produces all winter here without protection.
Pretty radicchio – maybe this year I’ll get to eat them before the raccoons do.
